Mayapriya devi dasi, the publisher, cover designer and layout artist of FEAST
Before starting Bookwrights Press, the publisher, Mayapriya devi dasi (ACBSP), served as managing editor for a scholarly publisher in NC, and as a freelance book designer. She owns a book design and production firm, Bookwrights Design, which has designed many award-winning books. She has served on the steering committee for the Virginia Festival of the Book, and chair of Publishing Day at the festival. For many years she was a moderator for the largest listserve of independent publishers in America, where she advised beginning publishers on an assortment of publishing challenges. She appeared on CSPAN’s Book TV, and has spoken at conferences and moderated panels on book design and production.
She and her husband, Amit Acara dasa, are disciples of Srila Prabhupada. They helped start the New Goloka community in NC, and have led a successful Bhakti Yoga Club at the University of Virginia since 1993.
